The Trailer: A Short Story

Donna, Gina, and Jenny were all stranded in the middle of death valley, when they had the unlikely chance of finding a campsite. This campsite had a white trailer, and a tiny, little house type porch, built out of wood. It was completely empty, and the wood had holes in it. They were surprised to know it was still standing, as it was clear that it had been that way for a long time. “Let’s get in this trailer and try to find some food inside.” Gina brainstormed. The door on the trailer was locked. Donna and Jenny took a piece of wood they found and hit it against the door to get it open. The inside of the trailer was dirty, and had trash thrown everywhere. It smelt like a garbage dump. Jenny found a loaf of bread. “There’s a loaf of bread in here!” Jenny yelled with excitement. They all split the bread. Then, Donna found something else. …show more content…
She griped the knife and they all started to walk out of the trailer. They sat down at the porch and shared the bread. “If we walk far enough in one direction, we’ll be able to get out of here and hopefully in the city.” Gina said with intelligence. Once they were out of bread, they all decided to walk to the south until they got out of death valley. They walked and walked, without stopping to rest. They walked across the dry, barren desert, and the sun was directly in there faces. They were sweating like dogs, and their legs were tired. Finally, as the sun set, they all went to sleep on the
