There has been many tragedies in this world, from presidential assassinations, to terrorist attacks like those in Paris and 9/11. Do you wonder how these tragedies came to be? How these terrible stories were built up with every passing year. Another example of a tragedy is that of which occurs in the story of Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers. The story foretold in this famous poem is about two families who at war with each other. Thier hate growing and growing with every passing generation. Until the son of one family and the daughter of the other meet and instantly fall in love. One of the first and possibly one of the worse situations that the characters face in this poem is the event where Mercutio is killed by Tybalt then Tybalt is killed by Romeo. This is a tough situation to be in if you are Tybalt you strongly dislike the Montegue’s and will do anything to them at the slightest bit of unease, you are put in a situations where you are looking for Romeo to avenge the embarrassment of a Montague crashing your party. If you are Mercutio, you are trying to defend your friend. If you are Romeo, you are refusing to fight Tybalt and trying to break the fight up. Then one of your best friends are killed what would you do? If you are Romeo you would want revenge. This scene is a extremely tough situation to be in, as it is also a turning point in the poem. A bad situation that Juliet faces is finding Paris talking to Friar Lawrence when she wants to talk about her and Romeo. This situation takes place after Juliet finds out that she has to marry Paris earlier then planned. When she goes to Friar she is looking for advice on the situation, then she arrives she finds Paris the man she is to marry discussing the marriage with the Friar. This is a difficult situation to be in, especially with all Juliet had been going through with her parents and Romeo. Reckless decisions were the dumb decisions that the characters made. Secrets were what caused the characters to act the way they did. Bad situation were the outcomes of character secrets, and reckless decisions made by the characters. Though all the results of the play could be changed. If it did not occur like this, will the feud have ended? Would Juliet be with Romeo or Paris? Or would nothing have changed at all? These are all questions that would have been asked if the outcome of this play was
