Love, it is what drives us as humans. Full of passion and full of randomness, almost like a Pandora’s Box. Never knowing what could happen or what is happening. In Shakespearean plays, Love is generalized as being a tragic ending to two lovers especially in his tragedy plays, but Love can also conquer all and all who oppose such, like in his comedic play. The three generalizations we can make from Love is that, Love conquers all, Love can cause tragedy of victims to its ruthlessness, and that Love can cause as much havoc as it does affection to everyone connected. Love conquers all is described as being the force that conquers all hate and evil. In “Much Ado About Nothing” Claudio, companion of Don Pedro, friend to Benedick, wants to marry Hero the fair daughter of Leonato.

Don John convinces Claudio that Hero is with Borachio in Hero’s bedroom window. Claudio at the end marries Hero despite all because he is convinced he is marrying Leonato’s niece who is actually “reincarnated” Hero, but that the old Hero died when her name was slandered and damned. (Shakespeare) In this scenario Don John does not succeed despite his very convincing and diabolical plan of wrecking the love of Claudio and Hero. Therefore in conclusion it is seen that Love in this conquers the evils of jealousy, adultery, and deception. In “Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” Romeo, the son of Lord Montague, and Juliet, the daughter of Lord Capulet, are star crossed lovers who both die in the quest of their love for each other. Romeo kills himself when he sees that Juliet is gone from him forever, when in actuality she is in a fake trance of being dead. When Juliet awakens to see that Romeo had killed himself, Juliet does the same in same thought of “not being able to live without each other”. However resulting from their death was the discovery that two were deeply in love with each other, thus the resolution of the feud between the two houses of Montague and Capulet.
