Life was great for a year or two , I had everything I wanted . I thought that nothing was going to change; I just loved how it was going . But then something happened that changed everything. Something that is unforgettable and it taught me a lesson. I had came home from school, and I had slept for several hours while my mother and brothers were at church . It was super cold that night , I had received a phone call that ended my innocence . The phone call where I learned my aunt had died. This call is significant to me because I have learned to appreciate and value everything, even up to the little details from life. They were disrespectful, always arguing, fighting and abusing their mother. It got so bad that they would even hit her if they did not like the rules she made . This completely broke my heart. What made it worse is that they acted like they loved her so much afterwards at her funeral. Why act in a hypocrite way towards the women that raised you? The one who got out her comfort zone just to keep you going . My cousins had so much hatred towards their mom. I had asked all my aunt’s children why did they hate their mom, and in response they said my mom was the reason why our dad had left us …show more content…
Also at the time my own family was falling apart. My family was going through big obstacles at the time, and my dad was at the point of leaving us . On the bright side, everything that had happened to me was a blessing. Maybe in someone else 's eyes they wouldn 't be able to say it was a miracle. It had taught me something very important it may not mean anything to someone but to me it means the world . I had learned that valuing someone especially your parents can make a big impact , their the ones that stood there with you since you were born .
