Marcus Brutus As A Tragic Hero

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is one of William Shakespeare 's many famous tragedies. In his time, William Shakespeare was a well known playwright and was a part owner of The Globe where he both acted and was the head playwright. Shakespeare wrote The Tragedy of Julius Caesar to be performed at The Globe on stage, but it is still being studied and enjoyed by people today. As the name suggests, the play is focused on the killing of Caesar and his tragedy, but his death is not the only tragedy in the play. Marcus Brutus also had his own tragedy. As he was portrayed, Brutus was a nobleman of Rome and a close friend of Caesar’s. He was in the Roman Senate and was a good man. Brutus made many heroic decisions in the play, but the outcomes of these decisions are tragic. There are many elements that make Brutus a tragic hero. Junius Brutus is the man that overthrew the tyrannical king of Rome. He also restored the Republic of Rome and made it a democracy again. This made
