Leadership by Example” is just something like a way of life which the top management of an organisation follows. It basically involves the top management within an organization to set an example for its employees so that they follow them and are ethically inclined in all their business dealings on behalf of the organisation. As an example when the CEO of an organization tells its employees to not waste the resources available within the organization and herself orders new new furniture for her cabin, her subordinates would not consider her words that effectively because they would realize that she herself is an not true to her words. Hence when the leaders of an organization are ethically strong and practice that themselves that is when the whole company would follow.
It will include details of how the company plans to implement its values and vision, as well as guidance to staff on ethical standards and how to achieve them. Codes of ethics helps the managers in its controlling function because the employees already know what codes of ethics they have to follow and cannot go wrong. The managers already know the correct codes and how their employees must behave and now if they make any mistake they already have the codes of ethics mentioned with them. The codes of ethics are a way of controlling the organization so that the organization remains ethical from every aspect.
