Tonight Show Essay
Louis CK was recently interviewed by Conan O’Brien on The Tonight Show. They talked about how technology has changed the generation of millennials. Louis talked about how things used to be in his time. Louis had many examples of why this generation is “spoiled idiots.” He talked about how they take phones and for granted. He is right when he says that this generation is idiots. The advancements in technology have been amazing. However, if this generation had gone back to previous generations, I do not think that they would be able to survive. Back then they had rotary phones compared to today where a name can be said and it will call them. This generation needs to appreciate what they have. The generation of millennials has come very far in the banking industries. But, they are abusing their rights of money. Louis also talked about how going to a bank used to take forever. If anyone wanted money they had to write a check to themselves and once they had no money there was nothing left to do. Now, they can pay with phones and use credit cards to pay with money that is not theirs yet. This generation mishandles their use of money.

However, they take this generation of technology for granted. They are very impatient with the amazing technology that we have today. Louis referred to a time when he was on an airplane with high speed internet. He then proceeded to say that the man next to him was freaking out that the internet had crashed. The generation is comprised of spoiled people.
In conclusion, this generation is misusing all of their technological advancements. They need to think about how far this world has come and appreciate this amazing world we live in. Like Louis said, “ everything is amazing, but nobody is happy.” This is why Louis is right when he calls the generation of millennials

They would claim that social media and technological advancements have contributed to the generations’ laziness, low knowledge levels, and intellectual decline. Proponents of the “dumbest generation” would also agree that the “mental equipment of the young falls short of their media, money, e-gadgets, and career plans” (Source 1). In more concrete terms, they believe that this generation’s strongest gifts do not make up for its degenerating mental capacity. However, one must take into consideration that there is nothing to prove that having all this technology will worsen thinking ability. In fact, scientists even claim that since “technology exercises our minds and provides more information” (Source 2), it will enhance intelligence.…

All of this to the current generation is commonplace, but back in the 1970’s all of those were relatively groundbreaking technology except for the television, and the radio. When things such as, smartphones, and the widespread availability of the internet came along it was a shock to the system of older generations. Change is generally feared by humanity, and that is why the epic change technology created has not received a completely warm welcome. Younger generations who have grown up with the flashing billboards, apps, and internet are better equipped to handle the distractions, and still be productive, social members of…
