There are many criminal activities that had been going on throughout the history. For instance the act of murder and perhaps rape were made by Jesse Matthew recently, he raped and killed multiple women. Matthew is currently awaiting for trial in the killings of two college students. Murder and rape cases not only affects the victim’s family, but the local community also.

According to Jesse Matthew’s ex girlfriend, she wrote a letter to defend him by stating that he was sexually molested as a child and that played a key role for his actions now but the letter writer would not even sign her last name. Whether the letter writer was letting the truth or not, it would not matter due to the fact that the judge will not take that as an evidence

This Title IX job is to protect college students and university students from any sexual act such as rape to be going around in campuses. According to Sexual Assault on College Campuses: Seeking the Appropriate Balance Between due Process and Victim Protection by Matthew R. Triplett, the Duke Law Journal the Title IX states, “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” Other than the fact that it protects students from being sexually offended there are also some basic rules of it that most people get confused with. Most students would believe that the law of Title IX only protects the females around campuses, but this law protects all the students from the discrimination against sexual based around the college. Rape is also another term other researchers used, which means unlawful sexual intercourse or any sexual penetration. Couple of weeks ago, he was accused of killing two college students, Hannah Graham and Morgan Harrington at Virginia Tech University. According to the articles from Makings the Best of Felony Murder by Guroya Binder, and it talks about felony murder. Felony Murder is another word for committing a murder and that it does not matter whether the act of murder was accidental or intention, it would still be called a crime. Other than that there were really no requirements for the suspect to cause the act of murder, or his actions were most likely going to kill another human being. According to the law, the person that did the killing, in our case it is Jesse Matthew. The law states that if a human being intends to kill, then the charge is murder.
