Imagine being a young boy and girl who have been homeless their entire lives. Now imagine one day, a person who you thought to be your teacher, turns into a flesh-eating monster trying to kidnap and bring you somewhere unknown. This is how the novel The Titan’s Curse opens up. Luckily for these two young children, named Bianca and Nico, the half bloods and an immortal ladies group known as the Hunters came just in time to save their lives. After a long battle and the disappearance of Percy’s close friend, Annabeth, the group takes the children back to Half Blood Hill. After becoming acquainted with the camp, the Hunters, challenge the demigods to a game of capture the flag, which they have won ever since the tradition started. After this event, the Oracle, a mystical being who enlightens the camp of certain quests, reveals a prophecy stating how the Hunters and the camp members must work together to retrieve both their lost friend Annabeth and the goddess Artemis, the Hunters leader. …show more content…
Fighting his inner conscious, Percy decides that he will use Annabeth’s invisibility hat to follow along behind the chosen ones. Percy eventually reveals himself when his friends are in jeopardy, but ends up saving their lives, which allows him to earn his spot on the quest. The demigods and Hinters encounter several more challenges along the way, each time becoming more and more difficult to defeat. Each day they strive harder and harder to try to rescue their friends before the winter solstice is lost, as well as maybe their friends’ lives.
