and gruesome wars of all time. There were three main reasons this war had begun these reasons were
Militarism, Alliance System, and Imperialism. In these next few paragraphs I will explain and tell you how
all three things lead to World War I.
Militarism is an import factor in the cause of World War I. Militarism is a competition to have most
military power which was a big cause of the war to see who had the most power overall. Some of the

The Alliance System also played a big factor in World War I. Alliance System was two different groups
of states that protected one another through War World I. Triple Alliance states were Germany, Austria-
Hungary, and Italy. These states protected and fought together against the Triple Entente. Triple Entente
were France, Russia, and Great Britain. These states fought against one another throughout the War.
Lastly, Imperialism was a type of government who seek to increase their power either by forcing it
through war or influencing throughout politics other countries to submit their rule. The sun never sets
on the Roman Empire or so went the saying when Rome controlled the majority of Europe 2000 years
ago. Other countries were jealous over how big France and Britain’s Empire was and went to war with
them to try and seek more power over them. Britain was the world’s dominant imperial power. France
was another major imperial power.
In conclusion, there were three major factors to why World War I had begun. Militarism, the
