In the story The Three Little Pigs, I believe the wolf is innocent of the murder of the Pigs because of his natural instincts, his sickness, and the pigs worked less to play more. While we may have personified the wolf and pigs, no living thing can ignore it's natural instincts. Every living thing has to eat to live and also has a “limit” to what they eat. These days we are also lazy and choose the pleasure principle, to work less and play more.

When it comes to natural instincts you can’t ignore them. Just like the wolf said, “ It seemed like a shame to leave a perfectly good ham dinner lying there in the straw.” (source B) .We would eat it with no hesitation. “Think of it as a cheeseburger just lying there” (source B). “Their mother told them”whatever you do, do it the best that you can because that’s the way to get along in the world.” The two pigs that were eaten made a mistake and did not listen. If they wouldn't have followed the pleasure principle, work less to play more, and worked harder they would be alive. You can’t be lazy when it comes to things you need in life, like your home. “ We must not be lazy and take things easy, for if we do, we may perish. Intelligent planning and foresight combined with hard labor will make us victorious over even our most ferocious enemy-the wolf!”(Source C). Work harder and play less is what you should do. It may not sound fun but you will feel safer and more accomplished. Today, we want things done good but don’t want to do it yourself. Like the pigs, we do the least we can. The younger pigs built their houses with the least care out of unstable materials. “Living in accordance with the pleasure principle, the younger pigs seek immediate gratification, without a thought for the future and the dangers of reality.”(Source C). We think we feel good about how fast we get something done, but when we come back around to it in a bad situation we realize it wasn't as good as we thought. If we would have worked harder and “played” when we were done, the situation would not be bad. We can feel and be safe when in …show more content…
When he knocked on the door of the first little pig, “ Little pig, little pig, are you in? No answer. I was just about to go home without the cup of sugar for my dear old granny’s birthday cake.”(Source B) “And you know what? The whole darn straw house fell down.”(Source B) Now if you make a house out of STRAW, it will not hold itself up against the lightest sneeze. The wolf did have “a terrible sneezing cold”(Source B) so the sneezes may have been heavier than normal. So of course the house fell in. There is no explanation of why the pig was dead already, but he was. Something similar happened at the stick house, “He yelled back. Go away wolf. You can’t come in. I’m shaving the hairs on my shinny chin chin.”(Source B) When you sneeze it’s hard to keep it in. You try to cover it but it doesn’t always work “ And i tried to cover my mouth , but i sneezed a great sneeze.”(Source
