The three specific character traits I have for the king are as follows: kind, persistent, and wise. I chose the trait ‘persistent’ because right away the king attempts to make conversation with the boy, despite the boys short responses. For example in the quote “Meanwhile, the old man persisted in his attempt to strike up a conversation.” The kings is also persistent that the boy goes on and achieves his Personal Legend. The second trait for the king is ‘kindness’. The king shows kindness by offering the assistance on how to find his treasure and what to look for on his journey. The the third trait for the king is ‘wisdom’. The information and advice the king gives the boy shows how truly wise he is.
