Even more so, many people have proof on how it isn’t caused by man, but more so that the planet is just going through it 's cycle. For example, former director of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, Phil Jones, chimes in and admits to the fact that the temperature of the planet has essentially been flat for the past 17 years (Hawkins Qtd. in). Again, though many people also speculate that the arctic ice has been melting away at an alarming rate, those who don’t believe in global warming point to the fact that the arctic ice is actually up 50% since 2012. Even the evidence proves that just a few decades ago, there was subsequently less ice than there is today (Hawkins). Even the world 's top scientists have admitted to covering up the fact that the temperature hasn’t increased in the past 15 years …show more content…
Dave Robbins from Forbes adds to this notion by stating “ Mr. Obama’s definition of climate change is simply not true. He boldly proclaims that carbon pollution or Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is heating our planet, which is resulting in an increase in droughts, floods and wildfires that threaten the future of our children. (Qtd in Robbins)” in addition to Obama 's statement, Robbins supports this statement with giving real evidence that there is an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence that greatly disproves the theory of manmade global warming (Robbins). One of the greatest examples to disprove manmade global warming that many politicians use to gain a better view plus power is the fact that for the past 20 years the CO2 emissions have been constant but global temperatures have stayed the same. The reason for this to be used by someone like Obama is to gain the supporters votes and actions, and because global warming is proclaimed and issue many try to believe this and will be more susceptive to vote for the person that “cares” for the planet rather than power. In conclusion, global warming is simply just a myth and natural to our planet, and is actually very stable to various natural stabilizers and is general greatly pushed do to the political power that backs
