In the mission in the Vietnam war, the Jimmy Lieutenant Cross went through a delusion idea, in which it interfered with his mission. This played a big role in “The Things They Carried”. Jimmy Lieutenant Cross, is a central character who went across from different emotional stages in the story, and who presented to have a hard time accepting reality, whether sentimental or leading situation. Life as a military can make a solider a different human being, but in the transition, soldiers struggle leaving their personal life behind and obstinate to certain things. Just like happened to Jimmy Cross, with accepting his reality, and how his actions helped him over come them.
