The first example was Master Bush and Blair playing that they are mining entrepreneurs to Jebel and Tel Hesani in the mid beginning. They took care of Jebel when he almost got in trouble with a drunk. It was discovered after Jebel and Tel’s journey through the Um Siq that the Masters were actually graverobbers. The second example was the fire god, Sabbah Eid. When Jebel conversed with the god it was found out that it only had some powers of a god. That it was actually the last of it’s kind/race and that it only granted powers to people who it believe would make the world a better place.
Recommendation: The Thin Executioner was a journey I didn’t expect and to tell the truth it was a pretty good journey. I rate it a five out of five. The story seemed more structured towards young adult males purely because of the lack of females in the story. Otherwise, anyone who enjoys watching character development. I wouldn’t recommend the book for someone expecting an over the top story of glory and fantasy
