The main ideas in this theory and how they relate includes, the belief that a people’s culture influences their ways of life which includes their health concerns with regard to becoming ill as well as seeking relief from the sickness. The theory is general to the extent that it covers different cultures, it therefore implies that there is need to conduct a thorough or background research on an identified culture or ethnic group while conducting the research. Additionally, the theory is universal in the sense that one is able to cater for diverse needs of patients without compromising on their cultures.
Some of the strengths of this theory is that it focuses on people’s cultures as being an important aspect in providing for their health care.
