Religion brings together a group of people with common interests and is likely to foster strong bonds in the process. Therefore it is not surprising that that religious believes and frequent prayers have a strong and direct relationship with life satisfaction and happiness (Poorsheikhali & Alavi, 2015, p.236). Prayer also helps me feel a greater sense of calmness which ultimately leads to happiness whenever I feel under the weather. Group prayer can also foster these same emotions if not stronger ones. A child in a home with uninvolved family will seek attention elsewhere and will likely not reach self-actualization. In contrast, a child will be more intrinsically motivated when they have family that is involved in their day to day lives (Poorsheikhali & Alavi, 2015, p. 237). Personally, since I was young I always tended to feel more motivated when my parents were a part of my activities and schoolwork. I did not have to act out in school or at home because I my parents were very involved with me.
