Psychology is the study of behavior and minds, embracing all aspects of conscious and unconscious experience as well as thought. It is a social science, where the main goal is to understand individuals and groups. A major in psychology gives students the resources to obtain many different types of jobs, from research work to clinical work. A clinical psychologist diagnoses and treats mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Clinical psychologists work in many different types of facilities, but mainly in the hospital or mental health hospital.
