The significance of the title is that all objects seems huge or “larger than life” under a microscope, however, these objects that seem massive are just microscopic and are blown out of proportion. This relates to life issues because when an issue comes our way we think it is the only issue that matters. It’s the one thing that crosses our minds and the only thing we think about, but when time goes on we realize these issues were really microscopic and nonimportant. It’s not always good to see objects larger than life because you would always over analyze them and never be able to focus on anything else. Alice learns that life wouldn’t be better under a microscope when she says, “As I grew older I learned that not being able to observe a magnified world was not an evolutionary design flaw after all. In fact, it was a means of protection.
