Taylor Adams Reflection

Personally, I do not understand how a person can be positive all the time despite circumstances. Here is what Taylor had to say about her positivity strength:
“Positivity will help me in my life because it gives me hope. Every circumstance does not have to be bad, I just think positive. Positivity will enable me to get through anything life throws at me. Thinking positive about what you want to happen, just might give you that boost finish the task, such as a group paper.” (Adams) Taylor has never directly been criticized for being positive, just encouraged nor has she misused positivity. Knowing positivity will get her far with any job she chooses, Taylor really loves her positivity strength. That is understandable, if it is going to get you somewhere then use it. The conflict with me and positivity is how do you remain positive even through the worst of circumstances. Her response was, “I am not sure, you just do it.” That is a legitimate response, but it just did not help me to understand the strength

I love my mother and…

156). So, is it advisable to suggest to a friend not to be dishonest on this test, or any other; just advise absolutely not. The best advice would be, to explain to her that it’s always in her best interest to be true to herself, as well as others by simply being herself; and this is no different than any other. Remember, honesty will land you more than dishonesty, because just knowing you achieved something on your own merits, is so much more rewarding, than that of cheating your way to the top. Besides it not only the merits, but it gives you peace of mind knowing that this job was offered through your knowledge, accountability, personality, and mostly your overall skills; not just because you had someone else fill your shoes.…

Agreements and solutions are also mutually beneficial and satisfying. Without trying- realizing even, this has seemed to be my main approach in handling conflicts in my personal life for as long as I can remember. I’m very empathetic by nature, but I have never thought about the courage side of things that it involves. It leaves a nice taste of empowerment in your mouth when you see things from that perspective. The other part that made the wheels turn so to speak, was the part when Covey states, “A quadrant II organizer will need to meet six important criteria.” (p.169) and goes on to list the 6 being: Coherence, Balance, Quadrant II focus, A “people” dimension, Flexibility, and…

But my mom is my greatest role model, and she dispelled this for me. She told me that being strong and voicing my opinions aren’t something to be weary of ever, and that as long as you conduct yourself in a way that is admirable nothing else matters My mom’s words allowed me to speak up for myself to speak up for myself in order to dispel stereotypes. Now, every time I respond to such comments I feel empowered by my sense of strength and determination to overcome. The frequency with which I need to defend myself is frustrating, but makes me more determined to prove them…

In my life experience independance was always a desirable quality to strive for and also one that I would consider myself to possess. This word has always had a positive connotation to me, so then being dependance, the word’s counterpart, must possess a negative connotation. You should not be too dependant on anyone during any stage in your life, relationships, schooling, or work.…
