She has encountered the harsh ways of the world. Myop learns now she will have it hard as an African-American in society. But how would she handle racist people? What will she say to racist remarks? What would she do when the racist acts kick in? How is she going to feel when a white racist person calls her a “Nigger” and tries to make her life harder than what it is? Being her parents, they should have addressed these issues and gave her advice so she can mold her emotions or reactions dealing with racism. Her mind could have been strong and intelligent enough to respond in a positive manner excluding the fear. Her confidence level would have been high and stronger than ever when she saw that corpse.
