The Theme Of Killing In Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart

There seems to be the obsession of killing that appeared to be as theme through some text. In “Tell Tall of the Heart” by Poe, Edgar Allan, it is about a man being obsess with an old man eye and because the eye scares him. Whereas, in the titled Usher II by Martin McDonagh, One of the character writes twisted stories and based on the stories his brother goes out and kill innocent children. At the end the character ended up killing his brother. In article titled “A Good Man Is Hard to Find”, a family went for a trip but the grandmother ends send them into a wrong road and they meet a guy who ends up killing them. There also seems to be madness going with these characters. There seem to be a common trend of pleasure and relieve for the killing in these stories.
The unknown narrator in “The Tell-Tale Heart” was justifying the killing of the old man. At the beginning of the story. He states “I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was the eye! Yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture” (Edgar Allan, 1). This evidence shows that the unknown narrator tries to prove the reason why kills the old man. Even though this should not be enough reason for killing an innocent man but he does it anyways. Reading these stories, on could ask then how much do you have to be careful in what or what you in society because it look as if these main characters, no matter what they did, they were not able to get away from getting killed. People are killing one another like animal. Even animals now todays are civilize more than the human beings. Animals kill for food, whereas, human kill just for pleasure and that’s sad. You did bring that person to live, what makes you think they have any reason taking others’
