In the novel, Of Mice and Men, one of it’s main themes is friendship. To begin with Lennie and George are two men who travel together because Lennie can’t take care of himself, so George takes care of him. That is a friendship that could have lasted a lifetime. They grew up in the same town and when Lennie’s aunt died George let him tag along. Adding to that, candy and his dog have an amazing friendship. Candy has had that dog since he was a puppy. they also grew up together. A perfect final example is Slim and George’s friendship. They are both very calm people and hard workers.
