Freedom is an interesting thing. Over the years many people have gone through the struggle for freedom, have fought for something that everyone's supposed to have. Freedom should be given. Everyone deserves to do what they want and be themselves.

Freedom needs to be given and be there waiting for who ever wants it. When someone is restricted from many things that they should naturally be able to do they'll start to rebel. This then leads to war and more suffering. In the “I have a dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr., he speaks about the blacks being denied the freedom they're supposed to have. They didn't have the freedom that the whites had as if they were any different. The blacks eventually got feed up and decided to fight for

With it given everyone can share it and not feel left

intelligent words to gain attention of listeners. “... and force everybody to see that there are thirteen hundred of God's children here suffering.” The amount imagery this quote gives to listeners is incredibly amazing. MLK uses God in I’ve Been to the Mountaintop to show that everyone was God’s child, regardless of their race. This shows imagery because MLK is talking about how so many people are not literally suffering, but instead hurting from the words of the whites.…

The Civil War was a rebellion that took place from 1861-1865 and determined the rights of African-Americans in the U.S. Before this point, half of the country was for slavery, and half was not. We struck a battle to determine weather slavery was right or wrong. Although most know the answer is obviously that it is wrong, but back then people had to have not had a sense of a moral compass. The taking away of basic human rights is not only morally wrong, but unconstitutional. We need our rights because they protect our freedom, they protect our well-being, and they remind us that we fought through the hardships.…

Freedom is a hard word to define because freedom means different things to different people. To some people, freedom is to be completely self-governed; to others it may mean freedom to have control of others. The founding fathers established their interpretation of freedom over 200 years ago in the Constitution. Since then, countless changes have been made in the definition as well as who had rights to these privileges. In my opinion, when a small population has more privileges than others, there tends to be a loss of freedom for the common people.…

The use of proper language, a skill so difficult to learn, but when mastered, reaps a great deal of power. As hyperbolic as it sounds, incorporating proper language in our writing and speaking can be very influential in advocating ideas towards a community. “As a speaker, [you] have some influence on the extent to which others see you as having authority (Smith 13). To gain authority over an audience, one must write and speak with confidence, to be skilled enough to use proper grammar, complex sentences, and a wide range of vocabulary to display knowledge about the subject. A representation of education, the audience gains trust towards the writer or speaker, fostering an authoritative relationship.…
