The film did a good job of portraying family and romantic relationships. Although Anna and Hans relationship was rushed and in the moment that can actually happen to some people, whether or not those relationships work out in the end is up to the people within that relationship. The two sisters relationship did seem a bit far fetched however, I could not understand how Elsa thought it would just be best that she completely ignore her sister for years thinking that would help her instead of harm her. They are family so they should have been able to communicate and at of the end of the day still love each other. Lastly, the friendship between Kristoff and Sven was my favorite relationship in the film because although they are human and animal they still have a deep connection and trust that I can understand just from comparing it to my relationship with my pets. The most disturbing aspect of this film was Elsa’s decision to shut Anna out of her life, their parents had just died and instead of coming together and getting through the grief together she broke the last relationship the two of them had. Overall, the film was an effective film for analyzing interpersonal communication because there are many different relationships and connections to look at. If I had to recommend another film, other that Frozen, to analyze it would be He’s Just Not That Into You simply because it would have a plethora of relationships to look at and discuss.
