First, Curley's wife has a dream to be a movie star and one day she meets this guy ¨He says he was gonna put me in the movies. Says I was a natural. Soonś he got back to Hollywood he was gonna write to me about it… I never go that letter… So I married Curley¨ (Steinbeck). This is important because this is how Curley's Wife ends up on the ranch because her dream of becoming a movie star fail and she has to marry Curley. Because of Curley's Wife dream failing she ends up on the ranch and causes all this mayhem. However, Curley's Wife does not like the ranch because she says ¨I don't like Curley. He ain't a nice fella¨(Steinbeck). Because she is stuck on the ranch only knowing Curley which she doesn't like she suffers deeply because she is very lonely and has no one to talk to. If her dream of becoming a movie star had not of failed she would not be going through deep sadness from loneliness and would not have gotten stuck on the ranch. Because Curley's Wife's dream of becoming a movie star fail she gets stuck on a terrible ranch that she hates and just causes trouble
