Thanksgiving Myths There are many Thanksgiving myths but I’m here to talk to you about two of them. The first one is “Native Americans wore complicated headdresses.” Well the feathery headdresses you are thinking of are barely worn only on special occasions. The Wampanoag wore one single feather on their heads. People who believe this myth are well…gullible. They would believe anything somebody told them so they are pretty predictable. Another myth is that the pilgrims had turkey on thanksgiving. This myth is not known to be true are not. While the pilgrims were used to eating turkey there is no written evidence that they had turkey on Thanksgiving. They did have Venison (deer) though.
