40,600 suicides were reported in the year of 2012, making suicide the tenth leading cause of death in the United States. In that year, a person would die by suicide in every 12.9 minutes. In 2012, teenagers and minors aged between 15 and 24 had a suicide rate of 10.9. Needless to say, there are signs to suicide- the more signs, the greater the risk of suicide- and if these signs were shown by anybody, then there's a chance for you to prevent it. Five signs of suicide are: visiting or calling people they know to say goodbye, talking about revenge, giving away things they hold dear to, talking about being a burden to others, and isolating themselves from families and friends. If you were called by someone and all they do is to say "goodbye"
