The Tell Tale Heart Mad Man

In the Tell-Tale Heart, there was a mad man. He was the house keeper of an old man who had a white eye. The mad man called his eye an vulture. Every night, for a week, the mad man creeped into the old mans room to look at the vultured eye. The mad man smothered the old man and chopped him into pieces and put him under the wooden floors. After cleaning the house spotless, policemen arrived at the call of a noise complaint. The policemen searched the house and found nothing. The mad man invited them for a cup of tea.As the policemen were drinking their tea, the mad man began to go insane. He thought he heard the heartbeat of the old man and gave his self away, though it was the heartbeat of his own. In To Build A Fire, a man and his dog …show more content…
The old man was suffering, he could not walk because of his foot. He had no choice but to stop and make another fire. His hands were too cold to function and used all his matches on the fire but it would not stay lit. He was starting to lose it. He tried killing his dog to keep himself warm but he was to weak and cold. The dog began to notice the mans actions and knew something wasn't right. The man took off again, giving his all but he could not make it. He sat down under a tree and gave up. He knew he shouldn't have traveled alone or let himself go. As the dog sat there watching his owner sit still for hours, the dog left on his own to make it to his destination. The men in these stories have a lot to compare and contrast. The men thought they had everything figure out in the beginning but lost it at the end. The man in the tell tale heart had everything figured out in the beginning but he gave himself up because the thought he could hear the old mans beating heart, but it was his own. The man in To Build A Fire knew better to not walk alone in freezing weather but he did anyways. He thought he could make it if he traveled with a quick and safe paste but he feel in a puddle. He was freezing to death and gave up on
