Even the presidents, before they led the country, are cheering for teams. But, one thing that Yabroff fails to mention is if the presidents actually did back flips or front flips or even side flips. Cheerleading should be counted as a sport. Even though Yabrough says that cheerleading should be an official sport, cheerleading should not be counted as a sport just because more males are joining the cheer teams. Yes, the males give more variety to the cheer squads and sometimes make them more balanced. But, that should not be the reason for cheerleading to be a sport. There many all-female cheer teams, and they should be given the same opportunity to be counted as a sport like the football or baseball or basketball teams.
