Essay On Misunderstood When It Comes To One's World

Much is misunderstood when it comes to one’s world view. To reflect and dictate how someone is meant to live their life is a very complex thing to understand. How are we meant to know what is right and wrong, when someone tells us. However, every person has their different view on things so who’s word are we supposed to take for it? Some may lean on a spiritual or higher being to help them know right from wrong. Others may simply do things their way and live and learn by their experiences. It would seem to be reasonable that we, as humans, must retain some form of knowledge that does not come from ourselves because we interact with people everyday. From those people we share thoughts, ideas, feelings and from not realizing it, certain people begin to influence our decision making. Besides people, this is also true from readings and an example of this is the Bhagavad-Gita. A book of teachings that is meant to help one perceive the world in a specific way while influencing his or her decision. However, how much does it really influence a person in their decision making? The Gita is made up eighteen teachings based on hinduism teachings that show a main character going through tough times and having to make tough decisions that is going to hurt his life and the lives of others. These lessons can then translate to helping one make either good or bad decisions. Depending in which way they take these lessons. In the Gita we see how Krishna took these lessons and it helped him go through his everyday life and influenced him in the decision he made. The same could be said about many different literary works such as the bible. The bible is a tool which helps people, specifically christians, make decisions in life in the same way the Gita is a worldview which influences people to make the best decisions for themselves and their future
