As I read the chapter “The Teaching Circuit: A Blueprint”, I tended to agree with the author’s idea of the four virtues of master coaches. Excellent trainers often exhibit similar qualities. These qualities best outline their characteristics and how they become who they are. When I was twelve, I had one of the greatest swimming years of my life, and I largely contribute that to Coach Chris. In the third virtue, the article talked about how exceptional mentors use terse and effective statement in order to get their points across. I recall him using these types of remarks, always reiterating what I did correctly, what was incorrect, and most importantly, what I could do to improve.
