TAS, generally known as the Tata Administrative Service, was conceived by JRD Tata in 1956, the late chairman of the Tata Group. He dreamed to create a talent, strong pipeline of the leaders who would steer the organizations and make them effective, and using that pool of talent as a group resource one that could be tapped by companies across the Tata group of companies.

Here a panel of Tata Group companies’ MDs and CXOs will take your interview; there is nothing specific about the interview. It varies from person to person depending on what the panel wants to evaluate.

TAS Case Study 2015-16

This year, the Tata Administrative Services (TAS) Case Study is about Harley Davidson. In this case study the candidates are expected to discuss about the organizational readiness of Harley Davidson for international business. Candidates are also required to comment on Harley Davidson’s leadership style and it’s appropriateness for the company’s business objectives – globally and in emerging markets. The candidates also have to discuss about the operational challenges that Harley Davidson faced during their initial few years in India.

Induction: New recruits in the TAS program are inducted into the group in a month long Group Orientation & Learning Program
