The TMG case shows how a group of intelligent consultants can put their best efforts together and fall short through poor communication and teamwork. When reading the case I found myself thinking that if Kevin had just done his job completely and focused on all three aspects, including the competitor data, he would have received a more positive review from Christina. Viewing the case through an appreciative inquiry lens, however, changes the take away. Using AI one can evaluate the TMG project as a missed opportunity for internal improvements. As an outside AI consultant I will evaluate the past project and offer suggestions of how to incorporate AI. By using the 4-I’s (inquire, imagine, innovate, and implement), TMG can implement a system where employees and results will improve. To begin the project, Christina could have used the inquire phase to kick off the project. Meeting with her employees one-on-one or in pairs, Christina could ask questions about the employee’s ideal vision for the project, their role in the project and how the results would reflect on their …show more content…
Christina briefly addressed the expected project outcomes and what success would look like by DNAtech achieving 15% market share (CASE). Christina, using AI, could have opened the floor to the entire team and let them expound upon what they envisioned for the project. Although the imagine phase is generally aimed t a 2-3 year future I believe the idea can be constricted to just a project based timeframe (TB). If the team had the opportunity to each present what they dreamed to achieve, as a team and as individuals, Christina could have seen what each team member expected. By using the imagine phase of AI Christina and Kevin would have been on the same page from the start. This phase allows everyone to become even more committed to success and taste what his or her best work could
