A Crime Against Humanity People of all different ages are suffering in Syria just as this statement is being read. There are tons of millions of refugees around the world. Majority are displaced in different countries around Syria. This number is increasing as the Syrian Civil War goes on. This war started in 2011, when people revolted against Basher al-Assad. This resulted with him striking and targeting the Syrian civilians. It was all a crime against humanity. America should allow Syrian refugees to enter the country because of the increasing death toll, the resources that USA has, and the moral obligations involved. The Syrian Civil War has been impacting the people and the country for far too long. Fifty percent (22 million people) of Syria’s population has been displaced and relocated (Lepeska). The country is falling apart, more than 10,000 Syrian children have been killed during the war (Lepeska). These children have experienced unbearable suffering such as rape torture, and murder. A total of 470,000 have been killed and 13.5 million people are in urgent need of assistance in Syria (Lepeska). The death toll is increasing everyday as their resources are destroyed. Some have no choice but to try and escape their situation and search for shelter.
Syrian refugees have taken shelter in some surrounding countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey. Turkey has taken in over 2 million, which is the most that any country has taken in. These countries have…
