Instruments The survey method are often used in a number of ways, they were usually used in health research. But through the years, the use of survey method are now applied by different types of studies. The survey method is generally refer to the selection of a fairly large population of participants, who happen to be a part of the ‘population of interest’. This ‘population of interest’ is a group in a population that fits the standards of the researchers. Next, would be the collection of data that will be gathered from this population (Brown, Clark, Kelley, & Sitzia, 2003).

This will prevent the researchers from consuming too much time and will allow them to gather more data. This type of interview will also avoid biases, that will affect the answers of the respondents. The answers that will be gathered using the structured interview, will be used as proof of the researcher’s hypothesis. The researchers can easily provide the questions to be answered by the interviewee , because they already have a general idea of the research. They only need the answers of the interviewee to further solidify their claim. At the same, the research might need to add a structured open-response interview.
