The Hebrews trace their beginnings back to Abraham, the Arabs trace their beginnings back to Abraham as well. The difference is that the Arabs trace back to Ishmael, Abraham 's first son instead of his second son Isaac. Before Islam the Arab nation was very disorganised and had no official form of government, they were a mainly nomadic people and traveled from oasis to oasis to feed and water their herds. Not all were nomadic some settled down along the trade routes and established cities along important trade routes. One would be the way they both read theological texts, the Shiite Muslims are very meticulous about what they consider true. They only consider things written by Muhammad himself, relatives of Muhammad or his close associates, the Sunni Muslims have a very different look at theological texts. The Sunni Muslims regard anything written by Muhammad 's twelve thousand followers to be equally valid, while the Shiite Muslims regard these as helpful they subject them to close analysis. This difference has led the Sunni and Shiite Muslims to interpret certain laws and practices differently. They each differ slightly on their views of their ¨messiah¨. The Shiite Muslims believe that their messiah is coming back to revive and teach the true message of Islam, the Sunni believe this to an extent. Most Sunni Muslims believe in their messiah coming back to spread justice and peace, although most believe not all do because this belief is never mentioned in the Qur 'an. The Qur 'an is the Muslim 's version of the bible it has verses and passages like a christian bible would the difference is the thing it teaches.
