Everybody holds a characteristic that may be good or bad. We are all different people, we all think in many different ways, having our own characteristics that make us unique. Characteristics can be described in so many ways. In the novel “The Sun Also Rises” Brett is characterized as independent, good looking, and strong woman.
First of all, Brett is an independent young lady who may be in love with someone, but instead she stays to herself constantly. She doesn’t depend on any man or any person. This woman never commits to one man, and prefers to be self-governing. Her life is not as happy as some people might think it is. “She can never go out alone.” Her friend Jake says. (1). Brett is constantly complaining about her life to her friend, that is miserable and that nothing is good in her life. (1). Being independent is one of her best qualities, but sometimes she needs someone to be there for her, when she seeks help.
