Suicide is everywhere in every state and every country. Suicide is a problem that needs to be addressed because keeping hush hush about it will not let the world know what an affect it can have. Everyone needs to work together, speak up, and let others know that bullying and shaming is not acceptable when the outcome can be fatal. Society needs to take note of the warning signs people show when they are about to attempt suicide. Humanity can start to end social pressure, and educate the public on how to do so. In addition, everyone can make those suffering with depression, who are contemplating suicide feel they are safe to confide in someone. Everyone should make them feel welcome to share their struggles, and gradually coax them into seeking professional help before it is too late. An obstacle that prevents suicidal people from seeking help is embarrassment or fear. Those with mental illnesses that contemplate or attempt suicide, should not feel embarrassed or live in fear of their illness; there is nothing to be ashamed of for having an illness that cannot be controlled. Schools have an impact on those who are suicidal; sometimes school is the reason someone might contemplate killing himself or herself. Everyone in a learning environment should be taught that his or her peers may be suffering and that bullying will not be tolerated since it could do more damage.
