Definition of Success How would you define success? Is it money, power, or fame? In Cambridge dictionaries online success is “the achieving of desired results, or someone or something that achieves positive results”. In today’s mainstream success has been misinterpret as how much money someone has and if he’s living in a big house, with all the latest technology. Success is not just about making money, it about being best person you can be, the true indicator of success is not what is accomplished but what is felt. Happiness to the key to success. My definition of success is someone setting goal and achieving this goal through hard work, which directly translate into happiness.
Bill Gates the richest person in the world, which most people would consider him successful because of the money he has. Yet being the richest man does not make Bill Gates successful. It’s the fact that Bill Gates worked hard at what he did and happened to become rich. The success that Bill Gates received only happen to a few but everyone has success in their everyday life that considered successes. For example getting a job is considered success simply that the person has put the effort into putting in a resume for the chance of getting the job. Little things like getting an ‘A’ on a homework assignment is consider success because you had to work hard for the grade and felt accomplish when receiving your grade.
