We all might know and see Benjamin Franklin everyday in our current hundred dollar bills. What we don 't know is all his achievements, success, and huge contributions to American history. Franklin established the American Philosophical Society, which is an association of the advancement of science. He held some minor positions responsible for printing work for the government. In that time, he also began Poor Richard 's Almanac, which became popular in Philadelphia. Individuals relied on chronological registries to predict the weather. Space experts or stargazers were paid well to anticipate promising new climate designs. As numerous individuals were ranchers and there were no other climate forecasters. The chronicle was fundamental so that agriculturists would know when to plant their products. Poor Richard 's Almanac incorporated these climate gauges, telling individuals whether to expect a dry or wet season so they could decide on the correct farming method. This chronological registry gave a step by step gauge on what to do. Benjamin Franklin made an enormous contribution to the American public. The information he provided on many topics gave people insight on things that had not been addresses ever before. Back then, a family would primarily have a bible and “Poor Richard’s Almanac” to read in their spare time. Benjamin had a lot risks being in the newspaper industry, more than half of his income depended on printing these newspapers. He made sure that he kept the paper free of private issues that could taint the image of his newspaper. His determination to prove himself despite him coming from a family that wouldn’t have been able to support him towards his goals gave him the strength to accomplish many goals. In his autobiography, he wanted the readers to gain knowledge and learn how he overcame the difficulties in his time. Due to Franklin’s determination to create a successful printing company he understood the importance of quality in his work, he knew that efficiency is important towards creating a dependable printing company. Even though he didn’t create “Poor Richard’s Almanack”, he saw the potential of the importance of getting its’ information to his widespread readers. Franklin had the mindset that he didn’t need to create new inventions, but instead he put the focus on reinventing products that already worked.
