The Stupidest Job Ever

Improved Essays
I have the stupidest job ever. I thought to myself as I watched over my three elderly patients in the retirement home. The three elders I get to watch over all day is Joseph Lou, Carol Robins, and Ellis Smith; Joseph is the most interesting out of them three. I was working at the retirement home one day after school when my girlfriend, Mary Hunt, and my only other friend, Joe Luke, came to visit me. We are all freshman in high school and we also are all in foster care. I got put into foster care when I was two years old, the only thing that I remember of my parents is of a trip we took to Alaska before they gave me up. My friends and I are now trying to figure out who will wake up first from their naps, it is a game we play. We are all …show more content…
We are walking/sprinting to get on the boat before anyone notices us. Joe leads us on the boat, and he is following the signs that lead to the maintenance room. WE find the room without anyone sporting us and now we are hiding very quietly behind the machines so no one can find us here. The boat ride is taking forever because Alaska is forever away and the cruise ship is going slow so they can entertain the guest aboard. We all decide to sleep until we arrive in Alaska so we can be all rested up. We arrive in Alaska and we sneaked off the boat very easily by sliding in with everyone else. Now we are in Alaska, we are trying to figure out where exactly the map is taken us. This map is one of the most confusing things I have ever seen. I figure that we are going to have to ask from some Alaskans to figure out exactly where to go. We had asked many people, and none could help us I think some of the people didn't wan to help me because I am Mexican and every one in America seems to not like Mexicans very much. I think that I will have to find a Mexican for help because no one else will help …show more content…
This mountain climb has been the hardest battle yet on the journey, we need to find a way to get through this. I think that if we keep trying and get to the top of this mountain we will be able to say that we have followed a map and figured out what was at the end. We have now escaped the cave and are making the rest of the way up the mountain. I cannot wait tell we make it all the way up there and figure out way we made this whole journey to Alaska. At the top of the mountain we find a little shack with the door halfway open, we let our selves in since we are so freezing cold. When we walk in we see a middle aged women cooking some soup in the kitchen. “Hello, we don't mean to intrude but can we come in to warm up?” Mary asks. “Of course, come on in and make your selves at home!” the lady response. “So what are your names and why are you at the top of the mountain?” “I am Larry and this is Mary and Joe, we are here because we followed this map, that we got form an old man, to your house.” She all of a sudden dropped the bowl of soup and looked at me with wide eyes. “May I ask what your last name is and where you are from?” she
