The U.S played a vital role in trying to help defeat North Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh and his communist rule. The U.S. wanted to put a cease to the rule of communism. However, back home in the U.S. many people digressed with the Vietnam war. Many marches, and protests had begun to take place to show the controversial anti-war disagreement. Instead most of these protesters wanted peace and not war. Regardless of wanting to make peace these acts had a very strong rebellious impact. Many people were defying laws, rules, police, government officials, and causing riots just to show their support for being anti-antiwar.
