The sources of Janet’s stress are her time management, school pressure and family expectation.
The first stressor of Janet’s life is her full schedule. Janet joins many societies and has some new interests and she also has some part-time jobs at the same time. She needs to handle those activities and also her academics study at the same time. She feels overwhelmed since her activities and jobs occupy most of her time and she does not have adequate time to handle and finish all the things.

General adaptation syndrome includes three stage and they are alarm stage, stage of resistance and stage of exhaustion. Alarm stage is the immediate reaction of body when facing the stressor. Janet feels burn out, exhausted and overwhelmed due to the alarm stage. Stage of resistance is the body to adapt to the stressor in order to reduce the negative effect of stressor.
