The stressor event changed my family where it made my parents argue and fight over money or struggle over language barriers. The stressor started maladaption because it was very difficult for them to become citizens of the U.S without having someone to petition for them. My parents as undocumented people did not have privileges many citizens had. They did not have access to good jobs because their lack of education or were not being able to legally work in the U.S. The post-crisis of the stressor event was when I grew older; I began working and was able to provide money for my household so my parents would not have to work as much. I was able to contribute money to my family and be able to attend college to have a better job than my parents. I made one of my parent’s dreams come true where they wanted me to go to college to become a successful woman. My family learned to love each other more and become closer because there was that idea that my parents could get deported. Our family became closer and would enjoy each other’s moments and company. My family had many difficulties over the years, but we learned to cope with the stressor event. It was not easy to overcome the stressor over the years, but when it became the right moment to solve the stressor event, we became a new happy
