English Class Reflection Paper

AP Literature is a tough, exhausting, and mentally draining class. College level 1010/1020 English is also a rigorous, strenuous, and stressful class. When one combines these two classes together, the result it a sleepy overwhelmed senior. This combination of English classes is what I drag myself to in the early morning for first period to begin my academic career. This class has been a life changing classes and far more challenging than any other class I have ever participated in. This class is definitely college preparatory as it challenges students far more than any other course offered in high school and even goes beyond the expectations of some college professors. McGee, I begin with my performance and work ethic throughout the year. In my previous year of study with Mr. McGee, I was very dedicated to completing all of the work in a timely manner, or even ahead of schedule. However, in my senior year English class I am not valuing the philosophy the way as previous years. In fact, I have taken on a whole new motto for this class, ‘Due tomorrow? Do tomorrow!’ This motto is the perfect representation of how I am procrastinating to the maximum. However, I have never not completed an assignment. I would say I have a rather average performance in this class because while I do wait until last minute on many assignments, I always complete the assignment by the due date. I have also performed fairly well on most of the tests and quizzes in this class. I often score around an eighty percent, a respectable score. As far as my writing assignments go, I have received very high marks on nearly every single one of them. When I was challenged with writing an intricate essay on the outstanding novel Paradise Lost, I was able to live up to the standards of not only Mr. McGee and the class as a whole. One of the things I struggled with the most was reading all of the novels
