My weaknesses are mostly communicating effectively. Using a cohesive and concise way when it comes to communicating with management and clients. This area is key and I work on my communication almost consistently in my role at the Walt Disney Company. I would like to be understood in few words as possible. Emotionally, I would like not to have emotional reactions to trivial things in the workplace. I’m also an introvert in a role that requires constant socializing and it takes away energy. I would like to be more social when it comes to my role.

The first job means that you start to get a feel for the workplace and understand its structure. The core of who I begin when I started this job. These helped me align my values and what I searched in the workplace. Integrity in workplace is key. My job lacked structure and consistency in implementation of policies. I found myself in ethical dilemmas but was not sure to start the right choice due to lack of policies of the store. I often found myself in compromising situations. The labor was not spread out efficiently and I always felt like I was drowning at work. This also transcended into the need of self-improvement, I was surrounded by coworkers who were content with being stagnant. I found myself worried that I would end up the same way. I now work for one of the appraised companies in the world. I have never learned to be so adept in the workplace. This company has shown me networking skills, strong communication skills, puts a heavy priority on being ethical, and being confident in one’s work. I find myself speaking to the Vice President of the Walt Disney Company, and understanding etiquette in its highest form. The structure of the company is firm and understands the need of improving workplace processes. I noticed that I did not have time to do anything I loved during my studies and I would like to now put that as a priority. In terms of career and monetary goals, I would like a very healthy balance of work, I do not want to become a slave to work. Monetary goals don’t really matter to me, I do not yearn to live in a life of luxury. Of course, I want to create a financial plan that will help me in the long run. I want to live the life that I earn and do not want to exceed further than that. In 10 years, I would like a tax preparer, and work very sparsely. My goal is to see the world. I never yearned a leader, and I prefer to train people instead. I like to teach people the methods and processes of work. The goal with teaching is to understand the person. It does have some leadership skills involved because the people you train trust your direction and credibility when learning these processes, so it’s important to offer direction without being too firm or

Clarence, I agree with you completely that older generations follow the motto “a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay”. I work with a few older employees and they work 5x harder than some of the younger employees I work with. I also received a 35 on my EI test which I was not surprised of either. I have a very high work ethic and have very little time for play in my job. I do need to learn to put myself in others shoes; sometimes this is very hard for me to do.…

A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

“You cheated”, slipped from my mouth. I was referring to my English Class. Frustration, filled my voice as I was disappointed in myself because I received a B. The idea of being told that I had to work for the first time made me want to eat glass; but could it possibly have turned out for the better? In England, when you reach 10th grade you participate in a nationally accepted program called 'Work Experience'. ' Work Experience' is when you work just like you would if you were legally an adult except with this program it only lasts a week. After 2 weeks of tireless searching I landed a job at Ariya Capital; an experienced developer and investor in clean energy and infrastructure projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. “Congratulations!!” read one post on a friend’s Facebook wall, the day after she landed an office job in her field. “So amazing!” read another. “Are you ready for your big-girl job?” asked a third well-wisher, accompanied by a GIF of Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. “I can’t believe I finally have a real job” was the text she sent me a few days later, from the comfort of her desk, where she had been hired to do operations work for an organization she had once, a few years prior, interned for.…

My first though on this assignment was “ Who writes anymore? With all of the technology we have no one writes anymore,” I was wrong. I frequently find myself writing at work, at Intermountain Medical Center as a Patient Care Tech and as a Health Unit Coordinator. Last semester I failed English 101. The standards I hold myself to have never allowed for failure; to me a C is failure, a B is barely average, and an A is expected. Before last semester I had never even failed an assignment, much less an entire class. There were many contributing factors to my failure, but ultimately I only have myself to blame. My weaknesses as a writer played a significant role during my struggle last semester, including procrastination, organization, and run on sentences.…
