Grammar has always been my weakness in academic writing. I usually get confused on when using pronouns such as “who” or “whom.’’ It was difficult for me to separate which is the subject pronoun and which is the object pronoun. Lack of grammar skills really puts my grades down in writing classes back in high school. I’m not usually aware of my grammar mistakes while writing my essay. It is an important step to start my introduction paragraph; it gives readers a clear view on what the essay is about and attracts them with interesting contents instead of dry sentences. I write down my ideas and opinions about the topic and organize them in to different paragraphs. I’m not worrying about mistakes while I’m writing my rough draft. The main thing is to get my whole ideas down and complete the essay. The last and most important step is to revise. I must check any grammar mistakes and sentence structures.
