DesignTech, Inc. is a start-up company in the Silicon Valley in Half Moon Bay not far from San Francisco Bay. The company is not exactly geographically part of Silicon Valley but was culturally part of Silicon Valley. Design Tech had top-tier investors, an experienced executive team, and a strategically sound business plan. Engineers sent in their resumes and cautious investors lined up wanted to be part of this company before the business had actually opened the doors. At first, the company was stellar and after a few months the partners started missing deadlines and within two years, the board asked the CEO and co-founder to step down. Something was missing from the company and it was determined that it was the culture of the company that was amiss and the new CEO was selected to change the culture of the business by uniting the partners to make the company successful again. The Mission states that teamwork prevails over everything.
