The Strangers: Are People Good Or Evil?

In this story Meursault showed no emotion before, during, or after the murder of the arab man. Meursault killed him because his head hurt and he “threatened” him by showing a knife. Raymond on the other hand, beat his girlfriend up but immediately felt bad about his decisions after he did it. This leads into the big question of are people evil or are their behaviors evil?
The story of The Strangers involves a character by the name of Meursault, he and some friends were on the beach all day and while getting to the beach they saw a group of arab men standing beside a concrete wall. They won’t have friends or a life because they could honestly care less about anybody or anything. Then other people choose to be evil when the need or want to be but still have feelings for what they do before, during, or after their evil actions. Some people can’t control their behaviors which can be evil but some people just know they're going to be evil. Either way evilness can be both a behavior or a person as a whole because someone can just be mean and rude or be negative to people which makes people think that they are evil. While other people just choose to behave in an evil way when they want to be mean or just play a joke while it may not be funny to everybody else it is funny to them.
It is true that some people are just born evil and some who choose to make evil decisions whether it be because they had a rough past which makes them be evil or just to be mean to people. As seen where Meursault feels no emotion before, during, or after the killing of the arab man. Raymond beat up his girlfriend but felt bad for his actions and apologized for the things he did to her. Whether he meant his apology or not he still cared about the evil things he did instead of just not caring or trying to apologize for his
